Description Participants will have an opportunity to assess their own behavior guidance. They will learn about specific guidance techniques to use when children display negative behaviors. They will have an opportunity to identify appropriate techniques to address problem situations.
Participants will:
· Explore 15 different positive guidance techniques that address specific situations.
· Use their creativity and personal knowledge to teach others.
· Make the distinction between praise and encouragement and its affect on behavior.
· Discuss reflective listening as a positive guidance strategy.
· Design strategies or combination of techniques to address given behavior situations. |
