Sheltering Arms Georgia Training Institute serves early care and education and family development professionals with research-based training. An on-site, accredited early childhood education center serves as a hands-on laboratory that models best practices in child development and family support. GTI training includes the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), the Family Development Credential (FDC), implementation training for the Center for the Study of Social Policy's Strengthening Families approach, and many other professional development resources.
GTI is working to create positive outcomes for children and families in Georgia and the Southeast by improving the quality of early care and education and family development programs in the region. Sheltering Arms Georgia Training Institute is located near Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta at the headquarters of Sheltering Arms Early Education & Family Centers. Sheltering Arms Model Teaching Center is also housed at this site and provides a laboratory where GTI students engage in practical application of course concepts.
